The situation

Harbor takes over at its own 40, four points behind Summit with two minutes left. A field goal cannot erase this deficit: the drive needs a touchdown. Summit is showing a balanced defense, so the safest call is not automatically the shortest pass. Eight snaps are available, and every completed pass inside the boundary leaves the clock moving. Two timeouts can protect a later down, but using one does not move the chains. This is an original fictional matchup, created to make you weigh field position against time. Read each result before calling the next play, especially after a first down. You can replay the same scenario after finishing; only the first completed drive from your anonymous browser counts toward the daily board.

The offense starts at its own 40-yard line, on first down with 10 yards to go and 2 timeouts left. The defensive cue is balanced; the conditions are Clear.

This is a fictional matchup written for Two-Minute Drill Daily. Its game outcomes do not reproduce a historical NFL drive.

Your decision to work through

Get enough yards per snap to reach the end zone; a field goal is not enough.

Keep the score needed, remaining snaps and clock state together. A new first down keeps the drive alive but does not restore time or the eight-snap budget. You can check the scoring formula before playing; the clock does not advance while you read.

Compare paths after your drive

Use the play log to identify which action spent the most clock and where a first down changed your options. A replay is a practice attempt. The same action sequence produces the same outcome, so change a decision if you want to explore another path.
